Speight, the former Michigan quarterback, isn’t the prototypical QB for a Chip Kelly offense. Still, he won the job in the preseason. The Speight era at UCLA didn’t get off to the best start, though. Speight suffered an injury early in the Bruins’ season-opening loss to Cincinnati.Speight does not appear to have recovered well enough to play against Oklahoma today. The UCLA quarterback was not dressed during warmups.“Based on what I’m seeing during pregame, UCLA QB Wilton Speight probably isn’t playing today. He’s not dressed, meanwhile the rest of the Bruins’ QBs are on the field warming up. Based on last week, I’d suspect Dorian Thompson-Robinson is getting the start,” Lee Benson tweeted.Based on what I’m seeing during pregame, UCLA QB Wilton Speight probably isn’t playing today.
