Chautauqua Mall Helping Tenants, Small Businesses, With COVID Impacts

first_imgShare:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to email this to a friend (Opens in new window) Image via WashingtonPrime.com.LAKEWOOD – The Chautauqua Mall and its partners are aiming to help small businesses closed by the COVID-19 pandemic.Mall General Manager, Julie Bihler, says many local entrepreneurs are finding it difficult to pay operating expenses such as payroll, insurance, utilities, loan interest, inventory and, of course, their rent.“That’s why (the Washington Prime Group) has partnered with the Institute for Justice Clinic on Entrepreneurship and the University of Chicago to launch the Open for Small Business Initiative,” explained Bihler in an email to local media. “This initiative provides an easy to use lease modification template allowing for the deferral of payments until local entrepreneurs can get back on their feet.”Bihler says that the program is also hosting educational webcast seminars with government agency officials and private sector experts to discuss how to access SBA guaranteed loans. “These resources are being made available to all small businesses whether or not they are a WPG tenant,” furthered Bihler.For more, visit WashingtonPrime.com/open-for-small-business-initiative.last_img
