first_imgDon Coriette sitting first from the right side during a GIS Program.The Office of Disaster Management says Dominicans will soon be receiving more information on the early warning systems for tsunamis.The Tsunami Task Force met recently at the Office of Disaster Management Office in Jimmit to review the Tsunami alert system.Acting Coordinator at the office of Disaster Management, Don Corriette said a number of systems are being put in place by the to build the already existing alert systemsHe said in the next coming weeks the public will be educated on the matter.“There is a monitoring station for the Caribbean in Hawaii which will be shifted to Puerto Rico so that will be an advantage to us.
