Ajay Jayaram moves to top 20; Saina Nehwal, P V Sindhu remain static

first_imgIndia shuttler Ajay Jayaram’s semi-final finish at the US Open Grand Prix Gold took him two palces ahead which ensured him an entry into the top 20 of the latest badminton world rankings out today. Jayaram is in the 20th spot with 43673 points.However, B Sai Praneeth who had improved his ranking after his maiden Canada Open win slipped two places below to 35th after his early exit from last week’s US Open. While other men’s singles shuttlers including Srikanth Kidambi, Sameer Verma and H S Prannoy remained unchanged at 11th, 38th and 29th positions respectively.Anand Pawar, who lost to Jayaram in the US Open quarterfinals, gained a jump of 16 positions to world number 77.
